Anti-Israeli protest fever remains in the air on college campuses across the United States. Notwithstanding, the trend continued over the weekend, with two demonstrations briefly interrupting graduation ceremonies at the University of Michigan.
There dozens of protesters wearing keffiyehs and graduation caps brandished Palestinian flags and brazenly marched down the center aisle toward the stage at Michigan Stadium during Saturday morning’s commencement, local media outlets there reported.
As a speaker invited the crowd to join the school’s “Go Blue” chant, the demonstrators clapped back with their own cries of “Regents, regents, you can’t hide! You are funding genocide,” according to the New York Times.
